Pintando a dos manos

Who is behind Art Is Trash?

This clip from 2019-11-14 shows a street piece by Art Is Trash, the project of Barcelona-based artist Francisco de Pájaro. Since 2009 he has turned rubbish left on the pavement – boxes, bags, mattresses, old furniture – into wild, comic figures painted on the spot. The works are deliberately short-lived and usually vanish with the next garbage collection. With humour and provocation he comments on consumerism, waste, politics and the art market.
